My exploration of Cache Valley and the west continues. This time a small town just past Red Rock Pass. I love these small towns and the photographic opportunities they bring. The shape of Downey’s grain elevator reminds me of a rural european church.
This is a great photo—very nice composition. To be honest, the scene looks a little difficult to photograph, but you’ve done a great job with it.
The shot wasn’t easy. Since I was using a 45mm lens on a d300 I had some distance between me and the building. The farther back other elements creep in and you have to evaluate their importance to the scene. Maybe I should do a blog post about my process…
Nice work.. love this image.
Fanatstic place – and great photo!
Absolutely beautiful shot.
